i like strawberry choc..my fav=)

Chocolate strawberries are used in a variety of ways - served alone as a dessert, as finger foods at a tea or cocktail party, or as decorations on a cake or fruit tart. Chocolate strawberries also have a reputation for being aphrodisiacs.

How to Make Chocolate Strawberries

The first step to making chocolate strawberries is choosing the ripest, juiciest strawberries available.

The second step is deciding which type of chocolate to use. Any of the three types can be used. Of course, the higher the amount of cocoa butter, the more of that “melt in your mouth” feeling you will get.

There are many ways to make chocolate strawberries, but the basic recipe involves melting the chocolate of choice in a *double boiler over hot water and stirring until completely melted.

Next, add cream or half and half to the melted chocolate and stir until it is smooth and creamy.

Holding each washed strawberry by the stem dip each into the chocolate mixture and swirl to coat. Place the chocolate strawberries on a piece of waxed paper or styrofoam and then store them in the refrigerator. When the chocolate has hardened, transfer it to a platter and serve.

TIPS:-
Improvise a double boiler, if you don't already have one, with a saucepan and bowl. Then follow these tips from Nestlé Toll House and become a masterful baker.

Steps:
1. Fill bottom of double boiler with water and place on low heat.

2. Place chocolate chips or coarsely chopped chocolate in the top of double boiler over hot (not boiling) water and allow it to melt. Do not cover.

3. When most of the chocolate is shiny, stir until smooth.

4. Remove top of boiler from heat.

Tips:
Chocolate has a very low melting point. It must not be subjected to excessive heat, such as baking temperatures in an oven. Always melt over very low heat - do not boil the water.

Moisture is the enemy of melting chocolate - it can cause the mixture to stiffen. Don't let any water get into the chocolate (that's why you shouldn't cover the double boiler; condensation will drip in).tq to relax kejap..
